Every Saturday Morning at Veterans Park During Summer Starting June 2.  Featuring "Home Grown and Home Made".

Shop from the open trunk of your car or truck.  Bring your sale items for purchase, park on the street during our farmers market and shop car to car.  Vendors and Buyers Needed.  Contact Sharon Troutwine for details.  

Summer   Coffee & Conversation Series:   

June 9     JoAnne Hill     10am-11:30   JoAnne will tell about her rich family history in Arcanum.  The John Smith General Store which was on West George Street is a favorite topic as many of our followers can remember shopping there for groceries, gifts, clothing and shoes.  In later years the antique business featured many vendors from all over.  The building is one of AWTH'S Designated Historic Sites and is featured on our Arcanum Walking Tour.  The old postmaster's desk from the Smith's Store is also on display at AWTHS.  Photos and ads are part of our house displays.

**Our summer coffee's are an informal time of stories and memories of the area from our speakers as well as the audience.  Join us for a fun time along with coffee and plenty of discussion.  The session's are free and open to the public.  Bring your questions!**

Enjoy our Self-Guided Driving Tour of selected old One and Two Room School Houses in Twin and Van Buren Township.  Come in and pick up a brochure for your tour or download the brochures from the "Digital Files" tab.

Other tours we offer are of Southern Darke County featuring "Ithaca" as well as the map of AWTHS Designated Historic Sites around town and the area.  Check out the beautiful old buildings and landmarks.

Stop in and visit our home of the present AWTHS.   Lewis Deitrich purchased the lot in 1894 and construction began of the brick building for a saloon and hotel. We have Lewis (Louis) and Christina's wall portraits on loan to view. Tour and learn the history as well as visit the many displays including our "old schools" of the area and the Marj Heyduck display case.  Past businesses of Arcanum and surrounding area are featured as well as clubs and the military

September 13  7pm    David Hart Representing  Blue Skies for the Good Guys and Gals Warrior Foundation.  Supporting our injured Veterans and Gold Star families.


David Hart, is a former US Army Ranger and Pathfinder, and a founding member of Team Fastrax Professional Skydiving Team with over 6,000 jumps. He is also co-founder of the Blue Skies for Good Guys and Gals Warrior Foundation, hosting over 50 combat injured warriors and fallen hero families for 4 days of bonding, healing and life enriching fun in Southwest Ohio. During his presentation he will talk about many  of his most memorable skydives, including his jump over Ground Zero NYC on the 7th Anniversary of Sep 11, 2007, and talk about some of the inspiring Purple Hearts and Gold Stars he has taken skydiving.
